Alpha Phi Gamma U.S. Capitol Statement​

Alpha Phi Gamma National Sorority, Inc. leadership has been notified of an image circulating of a woman wearing Greek apparel with a Phi at the recent attack on the U.S. Capitol that took place on January 6, 2021. We understand the severity and legality of this situation and are working to identify if this is a member of our organization.

We condemn these acts of violence. There is no place in our society for violence and vandalism, and the actions of this day are both unacceptable and inexcusable. As an organization whose purpose is to bring together people of all backgrounds, we support everyone to exercise their first amendment rights, however we do not condone acts that would be a violation of the law.

Alpha Phi Gamma encourages everyone who recognizes anyone from the FBI wanted posters or who witnessed any of Wednesday’s activity to speak up and contact the FBI at the below information.
